Several types of advanced models will be exhibited at the Houston Mini Maker Faire, but perhaps the most unique is remote control (R/C) submarines. Yes,these are real submarines – models that can actually submerge under water and move as directed by a remote control system. These are large craft, some of them more than 4 feet long, featuring many novel construction methods and capabilities.
Several of the R/C submarines will be on display for you to examine and learn from. And members of the local club “SubRon5” will be there to discuss the hobby and answer questions about how these models are built and operated. They will also have pictures and videos of these model submarines in action. Drop by their booth and be amazed!
